Terms of Service

Welcome to Lisenia. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Lisenia website and application (the “Service”), which provides AI-assisted English listening practice, training courses, practice and bespoke mock exams, and related tools for IELTS, TOEFL and general English. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Lisenia

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you are under the age of 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use Lisenia only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. During onboarding we ask about age and, where needed, parental consent. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Your account

You sign in with a magic email link or a supported single-sign-on provider. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You may not share your account, use another person’s account without permission, or misrepresent your identity.

3. The Service — what it is and isn’t

• Lisenia is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the British Council, IDP, Cambridge Assessment English, IELTS, ETS, TOEFL, or any official test provider.
• Practice materials, mock exams, band/score estimates and AI feedback are for preparation and guidance only. They are not official tests and do not guarantee any particular result on a real exam.
• AI-generated content (coaching, feedback, the assistant, synthesized audio) can contain mistakes. Always verify anything important against official sources.

4. Plans, payments and tokens

Some features are free; others require a paid plan (for example Coach Pass or Coach Max) or are provided through an institutional seat. Paid plans may renew on a recurring basis until cancelled. Certain features (such as bespoke mock exams) are metered by a monthly allowance or credits (“tokens”); unused allowances do not roll over unless we say otherwise. Prices, allowances and features may change; we will give reasonable notice of material changes. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, resell, scrape, or redistribute our content, audio, or questions without written permission;
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service, or attempt to bypass access controls or usage limits;
• Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or use the Service to harass others;
• Use automated means to access the Service except as we expressly permit.

6. Intellectual property

Lisenia and its content, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own learning. Any feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.

7. AI assistant and user content

The in-app assistant answers general questions about Lisenia and exam preparation. It does not give legal, financial, medical, or immigration advice, and it cannot make binding decisions about your account, payments, or refunds — those are handled by our team. Do not enter passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive data into chat. Content you submit remains yours; you grant us a licence to process it to operate and improve the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will improve your exam score.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lisenia will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or the applicable statutory minimum.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. You can request deletion of your account and data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you (for example, in-app or by email) and update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
